The Digital Technology Entrepreneur Association (DTE), represented by Mr. Tanut Khampeerasut, Vice President of DTE, joined SMART SME: PRIVACY & TRUST CONNECT 2026 — a project launched by Avery Digital to help SMEs and startups apply personal data protection principles in their businesses and prepare for rising data and cyber risks.
Executives and experts from the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) shared key knowledge and tools with participants, including the Privacy Maturity Model (PMM), a framework that helps organizations assess their data protection readiness and identify gaps, and GPPC+ (Government Platform for PDPA Compliance), which supports privacy notices, records of processing activities, data subject requests and DPO workflows.
The project connects these privacy mechanisms with cybersecurity risk assessment and an IT Health Check service, giving entrepreneurs a clear picture of their data governance, work processes and IT security. It follows a simple five-step framework:
- Know — identify where your data and systems are at risk
- Plan — define roles, processes and response plans
- Do — put PDPA work into a system that can be managed and tracked
- Protect — choose solutions that fit your business size and risk level
- Lock — control identities, access rights and critical data
SME D Bank supports access to credit for businesses investing in technology, data protection and cybersecurity, while Megatrend x connects SMEs with experts and solution providers. Avery Digital also launched its new website, www.averyittech.com, and the podcast “Rua LEAK,” which explains PDPA and cyber threats in plain, everyday language.
Together with the Restaurant Association and the Thai Fresh Market Association, DTE took part in the exchange and will carry the project’s approach forward to help digital entrepreneurs and the wider business community build trust and grow securely.
